THE OTHERS

An animated comedy series

A shirtless guy from Nebraska keeps popping into the very ordinary lives of the entities on the other side. They'd like him to stop.

Based on the beings people actually report meeting on the other side.

New episodes are coming soon.

Live from the bagging dimension.

The World

You've heard about them. They've heard about you.

Self-transforming elves. Jesters. Mantis-like beings who seem to be in the middle of some kind of procedure. People who break through keep describing the same cast of characters, across thousands of first-hand accounts and published research surveys.

THE OTHERS asks the obvious follow-up question: what are they doing the rest of the time? Turns out: watching trashy reality TV, taking long baths, buying eggs and fighting with the Wi-Fi.

And then there's Bill, a human from Nebraska. Every time he takes DMT, he lands in someone's living room, bathtub, dinner date or passenger seat, convinced he's receiving the profound secrets of existence. The entities think he should go home.

  • Enlightenment has a premium tier.
  • Universal consciousness is just the Wi-Fi.
  • The human soul scans at self-checkout for 89¢.

It's a comedy, not a recommendation.

Poster for THE OTHERS. In a sage-green living room, Mantis holds a glass of red wine, Bill stands shirtless in light-blue boxers scratching his head, Jester scowls with crossed arms, and little Machine Elf holds a TV remote.

Meet the Others

Known to everyone. Welcome nowhere.

The beings from the reports, off the clock. Their personalities come from the show. The archetypes come from the people who say they've met them.

  • Bill, a shirtless man with spiky brown hair and huge round black eyes, at the self-checkout.

    Bill

    The human. From Nebraska.

Shirtless, barefoot and full of wonder. He mistakes every errand for a cosmic revelation, then vanishes the moment things go wrong.

As reported: the visitor. In one analysis of 1,700+ encounter reports, the beings started the interaction almost every time. Bill did not get the memo.

  • Machine Elf, a short yellow being with pointed ears, a triangle hat and teal scrubs, holding a carton of eggs.

    Machine Elf

    The roommate.

Loves the trashy reality show Dimension Hunters and just needs eggs. His highest praise: “Oh, that's good.”

As reported: the classic self-transforming machine elf, the one Terence McKenna made famous. Reports describe them as chattering, shape-shifting and very keen to show you things. This one would like to show you Dimension Hunters.

  • Jester, a pale frowning figure in a purple-and-red jester hat with bells, sitting at the kitchen table.

    Jester

    The cynic.

Machine Elf's roommate. He invented the stick bug, and he paid $9.99 to make Bill stop showing up. Per room.

As reported: jesters, jokers and clowns turn up again and again in breakthrough reports, usually as tricksters. His trick was the stick bug.

  • Mantis, a green praying-mantis woman with half-lidded yellow eyes and a gold hoop earring, giving an unimpressed look in her bathroom.

    Mantis

    Off duty. Do not disturb.

Long baths, a little wine and absolutely no interruptions. Bill has crashed both her dinner date and her bath time.

As reported: mantis beings are often described as surgeons or examiners, very focused on the visitor. Whatever her day job is, she is off the clock.

Four more characters from the poster: Light Being, a floating yellow diamond with a halo and a coffee cup; Deity, a blue three-eyed figure in a bathrobe holding cereal; Reptilian, a lizard man in a polo shirt holding keys; and Maternal Presence, a many-armed purple figure with cloud-white hair carrying laundry.

More Others are on the way.

The other side is bigger than one apartment. Light beings, deities, reptilians and the great mother presence all come straight out of the reports, and they're moving in soon.

Episodes

Dispatches from the other side.

Short episodes, shot on location in hyperspace. New ones are on the way.

  • Bill stands on a self-checkout scale wearing an 89-cent banana price tag.
  • Bill hovers over a candlelit restaurant table between Mantis and her date.
  • Machine Elf drives at night while Bill sits in the passenger seat.
  • A Human-Free Premium pop-up offering to remove interruptions appears over the roommates' living room.

New episodes coming soon
